New Direct Replacement retrofitting kit for Megamax F1 and F2
Open Door version with New Emax circuit breakers are available at ABB.
ABB can deliver new Direct Replacement retrofitting kits for Megamax F1 and F2 type, 3pole and 4pole, Open Door (up to 690Vac) withdrawable version, that have been designed to minimize both the out of service and the installation time.
Thanks to the new ABB kits there is no need to dismantle the existing Megamax air circuit breaker fixed part.
Customers should only check its integrity and service conditions (auxiliary contacts wear conditions, cleaning, etc.).
The ABB kit consists in a dedicated New Emax moving part that immediately replaces the Megamax moving part.
The special moving part consists in:
- A new draw-out mechanism that is able to replicate the Megamax in/ out positions by using the same Megamax drawing in/out lever. Even the IN/OUT Megamax pushbutton is replicated on the New Emax moving part.
- Megamax standard male sliding contacts to connect with female part on Megamax fixed part: all the wirings are all already included so that customer can easily change the moving part of Megamax with the special moving part of New Emax
- The new breaker is provided with activating levers for the Megamax standard O/C AUX contacts installed on the fixed part.
Adapting metal sheets for the new door flange for the compartment door as well as user friendly instructions are included.
The special New Emax moving part is equipped with the following default configuration:
