1. Introduction

To take full advantage of the benefits of the Cloud, Naveo®Pro requires an Internet connection to interact  with the emergency luminaires and the application. A router provides a peace of mind internet connection via cellular network, which is completely independent from Customer's Local Area Network. 

2. When do you need a router ?

•  Problem: Customer IT department doesn’t allow to connect any product in their Intranet network. 

•  Solution: The 4G Router will be 100% independent from Customer network. By isolating the Naveo®Pro gateway from the Customer’s network, it increases cybersecurity, as any potential cyber-attack will not impact the two systems. 

•  Benefit: Peace of mind and safer solution: standalone internet connection independent from Customer's network infrastructure. 

USE CASE 2

Construction

•  Problem: The construction is not finished yet and there is no Network available until Opening or Customer subscription to a Network provider.   

•  Solution: The 4G Router will provide access to the internet for a minimum duration of 1 year (extensible on demand). 

•  Benefit: Installer can test and make the commissioning for Safety Products during construction.

USE CASE 3

•  Problem: Building construction with big walls, Electrical room with Faraday cage or in long distance from the Wifi/ Gateway.   

• Solution: By using a Ethernet wired connection between the Naveo®Pro gateway and the router (which contains an external antenna with 3m cable), there are no constraints on installation, distances and access. Cyber-attack secured by locking function to other devices and connected to Naveo®Pro only with cable.   

• Benefit: The separate Router allows any constraints on construction, cyber-attack secured and Safety Emergency Lighting always visible and monitored, thanks to the router's external antenna, it is easier to install both the gateway and the router inside technical rooms with no network impact.

TRB140 is specially engineered to be used in the industrial sector and has a wide range of software security features, such as Firewall, Open VPN, IPsec, Remote Management System (RMS), and FOTA support. TRB140 is a lightweight and energy-efficient industrial gateway equipped with mission-critical LTE Cat 4 capabilities, Gigabit Ethernet interface, digital Inputs/Outputs, and micro-USB port.

Temporary Standard Plugin SIM: offered by ABB Each SIM with “Quota” configuration for:
• 12 months subscription
• The customer need to replace the offered SIM card by an alternative SIM card before the expiration of the volume of available data or the duration of 12 months. A dedicated order code is available at ABB for subscription extension : 51000061. 

ABB is not responsible for the expiration of this SIM card; it is offered during the installation of the Naveo®Pro Gateway for a limited duration and volume of data.
