Yes, ADC still does the old school control - give a run command to the drive, the drive allows power to an actuator to open the damper, and then when the damper end-switch states the damper is open, the drive ramps up the motor.
But ADC does so much more now, and of course still functions in HAND and AUTO modes.
Do you want to sequence a pair of Outside Air and Discharge Air dampers? No problem, the ACH580 does that.
Are you feeding a common plenum and you have back-feeding issues as the damper opens, resulting in your fan spinning backwards? No problem, we'll pre-pressurize it.
Don't have end switches and need to do time-based control? No problem, we do that.
Want to throw an alarm if a damper doesn't open/close in time? Yup, we can do that too.
Does your damper have both open and closed-end switches you want to take advantage of? You guessed it, we'll integrate them.
