Enhanced Service Capacity and Expertise
By including Elektroautomatik in the Service Partner Program, ABB Robotics can further strengthen its service capacity and ensure that customers receive the best possible service. Elektroautomatik has a total of 200 employees, including 40 service technicians based at four sites: Kungsör, Södertälje, Gothenburg, and Skövde. The company has invested in training for service technicians at ABB in Västerås and in special tools to perform certifications and component replacements on ABB robots. They also offer customized training programs on-site in Skövde, where they have three ABB robots, and can send robots and personnel to customers for training.
The expanded program allows ABB's partners to offer service agreements and extend the lifespan of automation investments, such as through robot upgrades. By monitoring customers' robots and informing partners when replacements are needed, ABB enables customers to benefit from proactive service and maintenance. This leads to increased cost efficiency and sustainability for the end customer.

With extensive experience in automation dating back to 1965, Elektroautomatik has completed many successful installations. The company offers comprehensive services for entire automation systems, including new installations, long-term service, upgrades, and improvements. Now, Elektroautomatik is also a certified service partner, further enhancing their capacity to provide high-quality support.
Customer Benefits
ABB's monitoring of installed robots and spare parts in Sweden provides a complete overview of the status of all installations. This enables partners to inform customers when replacements are needed, reducing production risks and increasing cost efficiency. "We work together to be proactive," says Urban Gustavsson.
Currently, a project is underway with Elektroautomatik where four robots are being replaced in an existing production line. This 15-year-old automation solution is being upgraded by replacing only the robot systems, while the rest of the installation remains intact. This approach avoids replacing the entire automation line, minimizing production downtime and costs. This method is particularly beneficial for production-critical facilities as it requires only a short stoppage.
