- Convenient and simple control of room environment conditions via the ABB-free@home® App
- Real time alerts and visual indications of indoor air quality
- Quick and easy installation with no requirement for specialist installer or system integrator
ABB has announced the launch of a new ABB Tenton® 4-in-1 sensor that measures temperature, humidity, CO2, and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) for IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) monitoring. The launch coincides with the extension of the existing ABB Tenton®’s multi-sensor range to interoperate with the ABB-free@home® ecosystem.
The new ABB Tenton® 4-in-1 sensor builds on the ABB Tenton® solution, a market-leading multi-sensor to address room environment conditions, measuring temperature, humidity, and CO2. With up to 12 control options in one device, ABB Tenton® provides automation and control of heating and cooling systems and room automation, such as lights and blinds control. Additionally, the ABB Tenton® 4-in-1 device enables end users to measure VOCs for IAQ monitoring. All at the push of a button via one simple system.
Multi-sensors provide a cost-effective solution, reducing the need to install several sensors to address room environment conditions, installation time, and clutter on walls. The added advantage of the integration of ABB Tenton® with ABB-free@home® is that it extends control and interaction. Users can view and adjust control of lighting, heating, aircon, blinds and more either via the intuitive to use ABB Tenton® device or the ABB-free@home® App for convenient control from anywhere in their home, anytime.
ABB Tenton® multi-sensors simplify the implementation of intelligent automation in modern buildings. It allows the user to create comfortable and safe homes with the potential to deliver energy consumption savings through effective time management of energy consumption and monitoring of anomalies. Users receive alerts and notifications via the App when anomalies are detected, allowing them to take corrective actions if necessary. In addition to App notifications, the new ABB Tenton® 4-in-1 sensor also provides visual indicationsregarding the status of IAQ providing reassuring real-time indication of the safety level and quality of the air in the home.
Speaking about the launch of the new ABB Tenton® 4-in-1 sensor for the ABB-free@home® ecosystem, Christian Kruppa, Global Product Manager in Electrification’s Smart Buildings division said “Nowadays, we are more aware of the importance of maintaining good health and general well-being, as well as reducing pollutants and promoting sustainability. That is why we have introduced ABB Tenton® for ABB-free@home®. Working seamlessly with the ABB-free@home® ecosystem it ensures your home’s overall air quality will be as you want it to be, always – giving you even more control and peace of mind.”
In terms of design, ABB Tenton® offers a clean and elegant approach for residential buildings. With the flexible option of flush or surface mounting, the multiple-purpose device can be harmoniously integrated into any architectural environment. The elegantly designed sensor is available in many options and colors and allows for customizable control elements via the ABB Tenton® online labeling tool.
ABB Tenton® is quick and easy for a professional electrician to install. Commissioning is straight forward and can be done via the App or online tool. There is no requirement for a specialist installer or system integrator, providing greater freedom for end users to work with their preferred supplier.
ABB Tenton® for ABB-free@home® will be commercially available in Q1 2023.
