Brief session description: Cyber security is one of several game changers for digitizing assets and installations, across multiple sectors. This talk will focus on the Energy industry and the role of cyber security in the ongoing and future developments across offshore wind, oil and gas, smart grid, and power from shore. A key question in this context is how to guard the future fully digitized asset. Cyber security itself is changing, to adapt to the possibilities of new technological developments, such as AI. This open for a new era in cyber security, where cyber security can make use of data across the whole asset, including operational and where, perhaps, a more dynamic approach can be taken. Can AI enable dynamic cyber security solutions that can adapt as the asset changes?

Brief session description: Since the emergence of ChatGPT, the hype and political noise surrounding generative artificial intelligence has intensified on a weekly basis. Indications of a financial bubble are becoming increasingly apparent, and the market is growing weary of unfulfilled promises and the science fiction-like pursuit of artificial general intelligence (AGI). Leaders and decision-makers struggle to grasp the genuine value, resulting in potential benefits often being overlooked. Despite the hype and noise, artificial intelligence fundamentally involves the application of mathematical algorithms to large datasets to automate and optimise decision-making processes. It represents the natural next step in digital transformation. Beyond the fog of hype and noise, there lies real value for those who understand how to effectively utilise this powerful toolbox and simultaneously navigate the inherent risks wisely.
