This course covers basics of AC500 PLC system architecture and basic AC500 V3 engineering methodology according to IEC61131-3. The training also contains hands-on exercises with AC500 and Automation Builder.
After completing this course the participant will be able to:
- Use his knowledge of AC500 architecture and the functions of its components to
create optimal system configurations for given applications
- Create a new project and configure AC500 hardware with corresponding centralized digital and analog I/Os
- Configure a decentralized I/O expansion using Profinet IO
- Design and configure simple application programs by using standard operand
data types, standard functions, and function blocks
- Handle standard libraries
- Configure connection between AC500 and PC via Ethernet TCP/IP
- Download the project to AC500 and test the function
- Use the diagnostics tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Save the project in PLC and PC
- Create a simple web visualization
- Configure a visualization for the Panel CP600
Prerequisites and recommendations: participants shall have a basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and be familiar with operating in a Microsoft Windows environment.
