Overview

The C100 universal process controller was launched in 1995. It enabled PID control of a single process variable and featured a 4 to 20 mA or relay control output and Alarm relay output as standard with the option to add further relay outputs and RS485 communications. It also featured a simple profile control program.

In September 2010, the C100 was superseded by the ControlMaster CM10 universal process controller. The CM10 uses ABB’s common instrumentation platform HMI, features a new, full color TFT display and utilizes the same application template-based configuration platform as the ControlMaster controllers. The CM10 also features a single profile option with up to 10 available segments.
