2015 Measurement Products Schedule

ABB's Medium Voltage Products offering includes training on distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages and related services. Training Courses are available in a variety of formats, from e-learning courses, which can be completed anywhere with internet access, to hands-on instructor-led training based at our fully equipped training centres.

Distribution Automation Training Courses are regulary scheduled at ABB's Vassa Training Centre, Finland and also in Malaysia, Brasil, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E, Egypt and South Africa.

ABB offer a range of specialist Robotics Training Courses covering several aspects including; Programmming, Operator Training and Maintenance. All class are hands-on instructor-led training based at our fully equipped training centre. The ABB University can also be brought to your site to deliver standard or unique tailor-made courses.

Our training centre is located close to the centre of Milton Keynes and easily accessible from M1 Motorway.

Training Centers

As a business, ABB University spans all divisions of ABB internationally with over 120 training centres supported by its global management team.

The ability to offer customers the broadest possible range of industrial products, services and systems is one of ABB’s greatest strengths. All products and solutions are supported by basic or advanced training, from standard courses to specific courses tailored to each client project.

To realise the very best plant performance and efficiency, ABB University provides comprehensive performance-based training programs for engineering, operation and maintenance as well as service and commissioning personnel.

Courses can be tailored also to your requirements, with material created which features screenshots and exercises specific to your installation. Combined with a training system configured to resemble the production environment (see above), courses can be used to introduce personnel to ABB’s technology, for familiarity with the interfaces they will be using.

Customised e-learning modules and courses can also be produced (subject to a training simulator having been developed). These courses are based on the standard courses, incorporating the same content, but delivering it via a web-browser interface. Rather than setting students exercises after each subject is introduced, these courses prompt students to answer questions testing their knowledge. For this reason e-learning courses are best employed as pre-requisite or refresher training, to be taken periodically, or following employee’s having extended breaks from interfacing with systems or equipment.

Instructors can also be hired to provide coaching on a day-by-day basis, which is ideal for individuals or small groups with specialist or industry specific requirements.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: Full Fees must be paid before the course start date. Details of current course fees are published separately. A student will not be admitted to a course unless the course fee has been paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS: (i). By the Purchaser: Cancellations of confirmed bookings will only be accepted if confirmed in writing or by email/fax. Where a cancellation is made not less than 7 days before the course commences, there will be a charge of 20% of the course fee to cover administration costs. Later cancellations cannot be accepted and the full fee will be charged. A transfer to a subsequent course will normally be free of charge except where a transfer is arranged but subsequently the booking is completely cancelled in which case the aforementioned cancellation conditions will apply.(ii). By the Company: The Company reserves the right at its discretion to cancel or postpone a course and to refund in full any fees paid. (iii). In any quotation submitted by the Company, should the purchaser cancel or postpone a course, then, notwithstanding any cancellation charges previously applied, the Company reserves the right to review and adjust the quoted prices to reflect the current rates at the time the Purchaser wishes to reinstate the cancelled or postponed course.
