As such, the ABB School of Maintenance’s short learning programmes fit national and international training demands and are presented in Johannesburg at the ABB Campus, Longmeadow, Modderfontein. However, on-site, in-situ training can be arranged to take place at the client’s premises, country-wide. If required, in-house programmes can be developed to ensure emphasis on company specific training requirements.
ABB Technical Training offers an easy-to-use, end-to-end blended training catalogue demonstrating the ABB product and/or system benefits to customers. The blended learning approach underpins the customer-centred training approach through a variety of delivery methods i.e. e-learning, classroom and on-site training. Professional training interventions enhances employee competence and motivation, improves site safety, productivity and reduces downtime.
ABB Technical Training offers various courses on ABB equipment (ABB University) and general technical topics (ABB School of Maintenance). The standardized ABB courses can be customized to accommodate customer specific requests and learning paths are available for operators, maintenance personnel and engineers.
The ABB School of Maintenance offers public training programmes which are being delivered at various dates throughout the year. Seminars and symposiums are also planned annually and stimulate discourse on current topics within the maintenance arena.
