Enrollment
To enroll in scheduled training classes held at any facility, students should enroll online at the ABB University Website. If unable to enroll online, students can email training to request a manual enrollment form. Payment arrangements should be made at the time of enrollment. Students are responsible for travel, lodging and other expenses.

Enrollment confirmations will be emailed upon approval. Enrollees should receive a reminder email approximately two (2) weeks prior to the class start date. If, for any reason, the location of the class is changed, students will be notified.

Scheduled classes
All instructor-led classes for open enrollment limited to a maximum of six (6) students with a minimum of three (3) students to hold the class

Miscellaneous
If students require any additional information or a map to aid with travel plans, please do not hesitate to contact the enrollment coordinator. Students are responsible for travel, accommodations and meal arrangements.

Additional classes available upon request

In addition to regular scheduled classes, ABB offers custom classes. They can be held on your site or at one of the ABB offices.

Custom classes by appointment
Since it is not always convenient for a customer to send employees to a training facility, ABB offers training programs at the customer’s site. For these classes, the customer must provide classroom facilities, projector equipment, and laboratory materials. Items not provided by the customer can be provided by ABB with an additional charge for shipping and handling. Two curriculums are offered:

  • Four (4) day class: $2,100 per student plus instructor's travel, living and shipping costs.*

*Travel and living expenses for the instructor will be billed at actual cost. Classes are limited to six (6) students, with a minimum of four (4) students.

A lead time of 90 days is required to provide sufficient time to schedule customer-site courses. A purchase order or payment covering the course and estimated travel and living for the instructor must be received at least four (4) weeks before the start date of the course. Training requirements longer than two (2) weeks in duration will result in an additional round trip to the location for the instructor. Custom classes or classes made up of subject materials from more than one standard class require a detailed quote and will include preparation time for the instructor and required class materials.

Training department policies

Course cancellation policy
ABB reserves the right to reschedule, discontinue or cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment of students. In the event of a course change or cancellation, the student will be notified two (2) weeks before the class.

Students who cancel enrollment between three (3) and ten (10) business days prior to the class start date will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. “No Show” students and students who cancel enrollment less than three (3) business days prior to the class date will be responsible for the full tuition, regardless of payment arrangements.

Dress code policy
In an effort to maintain a safe and professional environment, we ask that students attending our facility avoid open toed shoes, shorts, tank tops or T-shirts with inappropriate artwork.

Miscellaneous
Training is only available to ABB customers. These customers are end users of ABB products and/or engineering or contracting firms legitimately acting on behalf of end users of ABB products. ABB reserves the right to decline training to anyone who is not deemed to be an ABB customer.
