The Remote Control Interface allows other components, e.g. the engineering system, to open a Field Information Manager Client and perform certain actions. It is possible to navigate to a specific device in the topology and open its device views (e.g. device settings).
This functionality is disabled by default due to security reasons. It has to be enabled on a Field Information Manager Client before usage and becomes active after restart of the tool. The corresponding settings are available in Tools Menu - OPTIONS - NAVIGATION FROM ENGINEERING SYSTEM.
