Mein Schiff 3 is the first cruise vessel to utilize ABB's automation system EMMA™.

About Mein Schiff 3
ABB supplies a comprehensive power plant, propulsion, automation package and energy management system for a new 99,300 GT cruise vessel currently being built by STX Finland Oy and owned by TUI Cruises. The approximately 295 meters long and 35 meters wide cruise ship will be added to the luxurious cruise fleet owned by TUI Cruises GmbH, a joint venture between German tourism company TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

STX Finland, is an experienced shipbuilding company specialized in innovative and ecologically friendly solutions and technologically demanding projects. Mein Schiff 3, highly sophisticated and innovative, is being both designed and constructed by STX Finland and TUI Cruises. Many environmentally friendly features are present in the vessel, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency.

Meyer Turku Oy
The sister vessel of Mein Schiff 3, the Mein Schiff 4, will be built in the same yard in Turku, but at this moment it has been taken over by Meyer Werft GmbH. The new shipyard to release the Mein Schiff 4 in 2015 is Meyer Turku Oy, with order book for also the upcoming sister vessels: Mein Shiff 5 in 2016, and Mein Schiff 6 in 2017.

About EMMA™ Advisory Suite
The EMMA™ Advisory Suite is a decision-support tool to minimize the overall energy costs for individual vessels and whole fleets. It compares and analyzes the historical and current operational data of the vessel, then calculates and advises on areas for improvement with easy-to-understand displays. The solution consists of onboard & onshore modules for energy monitoring and optimization.
