As underground cabling and urbanization continues, new rural locations within the evolving compact secondary substation (CSS) market require a lighter and cheaper solution.
The UniPack-S product range, where S stands for steel, meets this demand.
This robust and lightweight steel platform is suitable not only for housing the CSS, but also for housing a wide range of other electrical equipment. Its effective ventilation design and variety of options for IP classes make it appropriate for both cold and warm climates. The enclosure corrosion class up to C5 makes it ideal for use in locations with differing weather conditions.
The UniPack-S design has been tested to the highest safety standards in the GB and IEC ranges for CSS applications. The standard CSS design has passed the internal arc classification (IAC-AB) test, which ensures that it provides highest level of safety for the public and operating personnel.
For use in non-critical environments, the UniSub is an alternative to the Uni-Pack S, as it is type-tested but not internal arc tested, making it a cost-effective solution for applications in areas not freely accessible by the public and plant personnel.
