The ZEE600C is a substation automation unit designed for digital systems. It combines the advantages of ABB Ability zenon into a customized, substation grade computer. Main features are:

Functionality: The ZEE600C fulfills the expectations for small to mid-sized electrification automation installations that need a predefined set of SCADA functionality, communication and automation capabilities.

It serves as a seamless integrator for diverse devices used in digital electrification solutions. These devices include ABB and third-party protection relays, meters, substation equipment condition monitoring units, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs)

Applications: Leveraging on flexibility of ABB Ability zenon licenses, as well as ZEE600 Add-On Packs, ZEE600C can be used for various purposes:

  • Substation Gateway: It can function as a gateway within a substation.
  • Local HMI (Human-Machine Interface): It supports data visualization, alarming, reporting and archive applications.
  • Single Substation Automation Unit: Ideal for small to mid-sized electrification automation installations.
  • Redundant Substation Automation Units: Provides redundancy options for increased availability.

Connectivity: The ZEE600C connects to substation and switchgear devices based on standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, DNP3, Ethernet IP, and Modbus-TCP. It also supports a proprietary communication with ABB AC500 PLC family and offers optional communication redundancy based on HSR/PRP. Additionally, it provides connectivity options to upper-level systems using IEC 60870-5, DNP3, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA.

Cyber Security: The ZEE600C ensure high protection against cyber threats, providing various features, like:

  • Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
