Synchronous reluctance motors (SynRM)

The synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motor is a three-phase electric motor with a magnetically anisotropic rotor structure. The rotor in a synchronous reluctance motor has no magnets or windings and suffers virtually no power losses. Synchronous reluctance technology combines the performance of permanent magnet motors with induction motors, without the use of rare earth metals.
