Statoil

Statoil is an international energy company with operations in 36 countries. The company builds on more than 40 years of experience from oil and gas production on the Norwegian continental shelf. Statoil has approximately 23,000 employees worldwide, and the company is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway.

ABB and Statoil have been cooperationg for a long time. In 2013, ABB entered a joint industry program (JIP) with Statoil. The program will develop solutions for transmission, distribution and power conversion systems designed to power and control subsea pumps and gas compressors at depths of 3,000 meters and over vast distances. The agreement is an important step on the path to develop complete subsea oil and gas producing facilities

Aker Solutions


ABB and Aker Soltuions join forces to build on their combined strengths in subsea, power and automation technologies to develop solutions that will improve oil and gas production for the global energy industry.

The cooperation will integrate ABB’s leading technologies in subsea power and automation and Aker Solutions’ pioneering subsea capabilities to bring customers more effective, reliable and flexible oil and gas production solutions. It will enhance how production equipment on the seafloor is powered and controlled by applications on shore or platforms, lowering costs and enabling economically viable production at fields far from existing infrastructure.

SAFETEC

SAFETEC is a leading provider of risk management services. With an integrated approach to the technical, human and organizational aspects, SAFETEC is a full range supplier or services within risk, reliability and emergency preparedness. SAFETEC has provided services to worldwide offshore, maritime and land based industries since 1984.

ABB and SAFETEC work closely performing system availability assessments to reduce downtime and optimize production, as well as to add value for the subsea system.

SINTEF

SINTEF is the largest independent research organisation in Scandinavia. SINTEF is a broadly based, multidisciplinary research institute with international top-level expertise in technology, medicine and the social sciences.

ABB have a good cooperation with Sintef on component materials analysis, simulations and verifications though testing in relevant ambient conditions.

SUBPRO


Subsea production and processing technology(SUBPRO) is a key enabler for exploitation of Norwegian and international oil and gas resources. Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) initial this SUBPRO program for build up a center for innovation- driven research with in Subsea field. The center receives finalnical support over an 8-year period from Norwegian Research Concil and the industrial partners.

The primary objective of the SUBPRO center for research based innovation is to become a leading international subsea research center that provides top quality candidates, knowledge and technology innovations. This will be done in partnership with the most important industrial players in the field.

ABB provides SUBRPO finanical support and unique subsea competence and experience.
