The goal of this course is to learn the communication capabilities of the AC500 V3 with remote I/Os, another AC500 V3 and ACSx80 Drives.
Introduction to protocol together with focus on AC500 V3 hardware are giving opportunity to build solid and structured base about PLC Automation Products.
The scope of the training:
- Profinet IO (controller and device)
- Profibus (controller and device)
- EtherCAT (master and slave)
- Modbus TCP (Client/Server)
- Modbus RTU (client/Server)
- OPC UA (client and server)
- MQTT client
- Ethernet/IP (scanner and adapter)
- IEC 60870-5-104 (control station and substation)
- IEC 61850 (MMS Server, GOOSE publish and subscribe)
- DNP3 (Outstation)
- CANopen, (CAN2A/2B)
- Network variables (Codesys protocol for CPU-to-CPU communication)
- KNX IP
- BACnet B-BC (client and server, MS/TP and IP)
Connection to remote IO’s via protocols 1, 2, 3, 4, 12
Connection to Drives via protocols 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 (12, 15)

Prerequisites and recommendations: participants should have attended the F880 AC500 V3 Basic course or have knowledge and experience associated with the content of this course.
