Service Products Data Collector (SPDC) - Support

SPDC tool collects data including that of nodes and controllers and software information data for analysis from the supported control systems. Data is packed into a compressed cabinet (.zip) file. This zip-file can then be uploaded to My Control System for report generation.

We are pleased to announce the release of a new Service Products Data Collector tool, version 2.0.2.


Highlights of this new version are:

- new common and flexible collection framework

- new graphical user interface (GUI) in line with ABB style guide

- compliance with minimum cyber security requirements

It is easy to use and offers two modes of operation:

- “Basic Mode” allows easy and full data collection with automatic identification of HMI and controllers

- "Advanced Mode” is intended for expert users preferring to select systems, nodes or data category

Important note:

- SPDC 2.0.2 replaces SPDC 1.9.X for collecting data of System 800xA, Freelance and Symphony Plus system families along with related connects/controllers (except P14 and QCS connects). Users are strongly advised to use SPDC 2.0.2 for these system families.

- SPDC 1.9.22-1 shall be used for all other system families such as PGP, P14, Compact HMI, Advant MOD, Maestro UX and QCS). Please refer to the Service Products Data Collector (User manual) for the complete list of systems supported.

-> Before visiting customer sites and starting the data collection, ABB personnel is advised to use the Advanced Services_Tools Selection Matrix or directly looking up the SID in My Control System to select the latest and correct version of the Service Data Collector software depending on the system family and version of the system to scan.

How to access the SPDC in myABB/My Control System:

In myABB/My Control System ->“System details page” under “Advanced Services Tools”, click on “SPDC tool”, the below window will pop up to select the new version of SPDC, if the system or system combination is supported.
