ABB Mining User Conference brings together professionals from the mining and mineral processing industries for a premier educational and collaboration event.

Over 300 companies from some 50 countries including end users, major mill suppliers, OEMs, EPC(M)s, consultants and other partners are invited to share experiences, knowledge and ideas with us. We are very pleased to announce that aside from ABB contributions, many of our customers and partners will present new developments in the mining and mineral processing world.

Agenda
Two and a half full days of conference (March 27-29) with some 30 interesting presentations from customers and ABB specialists, interactive sessions and group discussions.

Hands-on demonstrations of the latest solutions / innovations in hardware and software. Experience what electric mine trucks, robotics, digitalization, and ABB Ability will bring to the mining industry.


Venue
Sheraton Santiago Hotel is located in the midst of parks and gardens. It’s just 15 minutes away from the city's international airport, and features first-class services and awarded cuisine.


Social program
Part of the event, on Saturday March 30th, ABB will host a sightseeing tour around Santiago, including a visit to the famous Viña Mar Vineyard for wine tasting and a traditional Chilean lunch.

Please register as soon as possible as some activities have limited spaces (first come – first served), registration deadline is February 25, 2019.

The event will be held at Sheraton Santiago Hotel in the heart of Santiago.

The iconic Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center is a historical landmark in Chile. The hotel has amazing views of Santiago and is the largest hotel in Chile with 525 rooms. Please note that hotel expenses are to be borne by each participant, and that all reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card at the time of booking. Late cancellations and no-show charges apply and will be charged to your credit card.

On Saturday March 30th, ABB will host a half-day sightseeing tour in and around beautiful Santiago, including a traditional Chilean lunch and a visit to the well-known Viña Mar Vineyard.

The sightseeing tour will bring the participants back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Dress code:

Conference = business casual

For the social program, bring comfortable shoes and a windbreaker jacket.


Weather:

The weather in Chile in March is normally warm with slightly decreasing temperatures in the end of the month making Santiago much more comfortable during the day. Santiago's monthly daytime averages are around 26°C. Nights cool off correspondingly, to 9°C.


Airport transport:

The fastest way to reach the hotel from the airport is by taxi, Sheraton is only a 15-20 minute ride from the airport. For official airport transportation go to website: https://www.transvip.cl/
