On 25 April 2012, ABB organized a career orientation day for the 5th year students at Hanoi University of Technology.

From 3 to 5 April 2012, Low Voltage Products division conducted a technical support program for consultancy companies in Hanoi. This is a monthly training program aiming at tightening relationship with customers, while supporting consultants to enrich new knowledge and standards in electric industry as well as design and calculation tools and software such as DOC2. ABB is pleased to announce that we have launched a cooperation program with the Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) to offer a scholarship for full time second-year students of HUT’s Electrical Shool of Engineering. The scholarships, offered by Jürgen Dormann Foundation (JDF) under ABB Group, aims at supporting talented students in the electrical field who might not have the means to support themselves for studying.

On 28 February 2012, ABB Ltd. in Vietnam has officially held a ceremony to recognise two briliant students from the biggest technology university in Vietnam, the Hanoi University of Technology (HUT), who have achieved the ABB JDF scholarship in the school year of 2011 – 2012.

14 February, 2012, with the participation of Switzerland experts from ABB Group, ABB Vietnam coordinated with SUN Ltd. and Lac Hong University to hold a seminar on ABB Robotic package for education. Participating in this event were over 50 universities and colleges across the country.

As part of the occupational health and safety inspection plan for companies located in Hanoi, on 21 December 2011, Mr Phan Van Tuan, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, together with his team conducted an inspection on occupational health and safety situation at ABB Ltd.

On 24 November 2011, ABB Bac Ninh Branch was certified with ISO 14001:2004, the standard of environmental management system and a certificate was officially presented by Bureau Veritas (a global leader in quality, health and environment conformity assessment and certification services) on 30 December 2011.
