Advant Controller 110 for Advant Master DCS
Migration and support for ABB Advant Controller 110 for Advant Master DCS, a midsize rack and board based controller.
The controller offers a full set of control and communication functions and it is designed to suit a wide range of industrial applications, from small to medium-size, from logic to loops, either stand-alone or as an integrated part of an Advant Master system as well as in any other distributed control system.
Advant Controller 110 is fast; it can execute application programs with cycle times as short as 2 ms, making the unit particularly well suited to demanding logic control applications.
Advant Controller 110 is specifically designed for high-speed PLC-type applications, but brings also considerable problem-solving power to all analog signal handling and arithmetic applications. It is perfect to live and grow with, thanks to its multitude of expansion possibilities and its on-line programming capability. Advant Controller 110 also includes handling of analog signals for loop control, binary and arithmetical application and it is designed to operate in demanding industrial environments at low cost.
Advant Controller 110 life cycle status
The Advant Controller 110 hardware was in 2003 moved to the Classic life cycle phase, to the Limited phase in 2008 and finally into the Obsolete life cycle phase in 2017.
Customers still using Advant Controller 110 controllers are encouraged to migrate to newer generations of ABB DCS, the closest step being to Advant Controller 160. The application code can be preserved to 100 % thus avoiding new FAT and commissioning.
ABB also offers application code conversion to AC 800M with S800 I/O.
