On the 6th of June 2013, ABB participated in the Swedish National Day celebration, which was held at the facility of the Swedish Embassy in Hanoi.

On 14 May 2013, in company with six other Swiss multinational corporations, ABB participated in “ Enterprises with community responsibilities” seminar, held at the Tuoi tre newspaper.

The year of 2012 was a very successful year for OHS in Vietnam when the lost time injury (LTI) frequency rate is kept to 0,12 % which means number of incidents was reduced drastically by 70% compared with 2011.

On 1 March 2013, ABB in Vietnam officially held a ceremony to recognise two briliant students from the Electrical School of Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), who have achieved the ABB JDF scholarship in the school year of 2012 – 2013. Participating in the ceremony were Mr. JianPeng Fu - ABB Country Manager, Professor Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet - Dean of the Electrical School of Engineering and other representatives from HUST and ABB.

ABB is pleased to announce that we have launched a cooperation program with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) to offer a scholarship for full time second-year students of HUST's Electrical Shool of Engineering. The scholarships, offered by Jürgen Dormann Foundation (JDF) under ABB Group, aims at supporting talented students in the electrical field who might not have the means

Ms Camilla Mellander, the Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam and Mr Mikael Johansson, Second Secretary, Political and Trade Section, paid a visit to ABB in Hanoi.

With the aim to help Hanoi University of Technology’s (HUT) students to have a deep understanding about ABB Group as well as ABB in Vietnam, ABB held three introduction programs for HUT’s students at Bac Ninh and Hanoi during the period from the end of November to early December.

On 29 & 30 November 2012, Discrete Automation & Motion division had successfully held a Channel Partner Year End Meeting for BU Drive’s partners at Vung Tau City.
