ABB continued its Charitable Program at the Vietnam National Hospital (NHP) for Pediatrics. During the program, ABB has approached patients with limited finance resources and supported payment of medical expenses since early November 2016. This is the second time the program has been taken place at the NHP with support of the hospital’s Social Affairs department.

ABB DM has successfully organized the Channel Partner Meeting 2016 from 20th to 22th December 2016 in Nha Trang with more than thirty partners all over Vietnam and representatives from SAS regional management.

The ABB Jürgen Dormann Foundation (JDF) scholarship program aims at contributing to the development of future engineering generation around the world. Awards provide opportunities for students with limited financial resources to pursuit their desire for engineering education and career. In Vietnam, the program has been implemented since 2010 with coordination of Hanoi University of Science & Technology (HUST).

On June 17th 2016, ABB, in cooperation with EDH Power Solution Joint Stock Company (EDHP), successfully launched the new System Pro E Power switchboard at J.W Marriott Hotel Hanoi. This tailor made distribution solution suits the needs of every customer while offering flexibility, velocity, and simplicity to electrical systems.

On April 1, the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mrs. Beatrice Maser Mallor and Swiss Deputy Chief of Mission Mrs. Caroline Trautweiler visited ABB in BacNinh.

ABB in Vietnam is providing power equipment for a cogeneration project led by Nghe An Sugar Ltd., (NASU), one of the three largest sugar producers in the country. In phase one, the project expects to generate 4MW from bagasse, a waste byproduct of the sugar process.

The CEO Safety Awards was launched together with the global “Don’t look the other way” Campaign in 2013. The awards are open to all ABB employees around the world, and acknowledges significant individual or team achievements that promote a strong safety culture, that identify, prevent or correct safety-related issues. Targeting to promote safe behaviour, ABB in Vietnam has made tremendous efforts in creating a safe culture throughout the company.

The Customer and Sales Meeting of EP Division this year was organized in Danang Furama resort from 10th – 12th March. The meeting received attendance of around 40 customers nation-wide.
