Tested Hardware for Symphony Plus

Ensure interoperability, stable operation and lower cost of ownership.

The main scope of Symphony Plus - Hardware Standardization Project is to offer standardized and pre-configured Servers and Workstations to the Local Business Lines so that they can be used for deploying Symphony Plus new releases. 3rd party products went through intensive testing and are considered as certified for certain system versions.

This approach provides an efficient way to support new Operating Systems from Microsoft (i.e. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016 & Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2019 & Windows Server 2019).

There are many benefits using standardized models:

  • Pre-tested and certified operational hardware and configuration of the Operating System;
  • Pre-configured BIOS settings and right product keys for the operating system with Embedded Licensing;
  • Tracking of asset through P&F Center approved labeling and Service Tags;
  • Best hardware costs and support services costs;
  • Global agreement with Microsoft that allows ABB to redistribute Windows Operating System for S+ systems
  • Machines ready for S+ installation
Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 LTSC 2019
Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 LTSC 2016
NOTE

These models will be ready for ordering by Q3 2020 so, as temporary workaround, you can refer to Naked Models which mean the same machines as standard but without ABB image and all customizations (click here for further info).
All machines in this page are present for preliminary knowledge but the final ordering setup is still under definition and machines will be available by end of Q3.
Furthermore, another option is virtualization: it is possible to purchase models already present in the other section but without OS (e.g. Dell PowerEdge R640XL and HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10) then to procure the OS separately, accordingly to the guideline of Windows 10 Procurement available at this link.
