In mid August, ABB Vietnam Drive Service Team held annual drive service seminars with two events in the North and two in the South of Vietnam. This year ABB organized the seminars right at the facility of the four key end-customers.

The number of students awarded scholarships under the ABB Jürgen Dormann Foundation for Engineering Education is set to rise by at least 50 percent in the next two years.

On 25 July 2012, ABB medium voltage (PPMV) factory in coordination with our Danang office held a seminar to introduce medium voltage products in Danang city. Participating in the seminar were about 80 customers from power and industrial sectors. The seminar focused on introducing MV products, ABB competitiveness by having MV production base in Vietnam and also presented solutions for customers'

On 10 July in Hanoi & 12 July in HCMC, ABB Low Voltage Products (LP) division held an annual seminar to update customers with new LP products and their features. The products that were introduced such as MCCB type Tmax XT, Auto Transfer Switch (ATS), Enclosure and Din-rail, current measurement system (CMS), Soft starter PSE, AF contactor, electronic coil… perfectly meet the requirements by various worldwide industrial, machinery manufacturing and building segments that apply LP products.

30 May 2012 - Low Voltage division conducted a technical knowledge training program for the fourth and final year students of Electrical Faculty, Danang University of Technology. This is part of a regular training program that aims at providing practical specialized knowledge for students and familiarizing them to modern and useful utility software.

Expanding business in Vietnam, ABB Discrete Automation and Motion Division (DM) has marked an important milestone by establishing a new business unit of Power Electronics Systems (PES). With the focus on Power Quality Solutions, the young business fulfills the existing product as well as application portfolios which have been offered by PLC, Robotics, Drives and Motors & Generators units.

A seminar to introduce ABB's power products and power systems was held on 20 June in ABB new office in Ho Chi Minh city and attracted a lot of customers. This event was also a great chance for us to show the customers our new showroom which is very impressive with ABB high tech equipment and products.

With the aim to create a favorable environment for enterprises to access and exchange high technology solutions, energy efficiency, lowering environment impact, Hanoi People’s Committee together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade held an exhibition on energy efficiency in Hanoi 2012 (ENTECH HANOI 2012) at Giang Vo exhibition center fromh 23 May to 26 May 2012.
