The CEO Safety Awards was launched together with the global “Don’t look the other way” Campaign in 2013. The awards are open to all ABB employees around the world, and acknowledges significant individual or team achievements that promote a strong safety culture, that identify, prevent or correct safety-related issues. Targeting to promote safe behaviour, ABB in Vietnam has made tremendous efforts in creating a safe culture throughout the company.

The Customer and Sales Meeting of EP Division this year was organized in Danang Furama resort from 10th – 12th March. The meeting received attendance of around 40 customers nation-wide.

ABB DM successfully organized Channel Partner Meeting 2015 from 18th to 19th December 2015 with thirty distinguished partners all over Vietnam. ABB DM successfully organized the ACS580 launching on Dec 18, 2015 in Vung Tau city to introduce a new product ACS580- ABB new compatible drive. As part of ABB’s charity program this year, the ABB Social Day with the theme “connecting love”, was hosted in the warm, sharing and loving atmosphere for the inpatients of the Vietnam National Hospital for Pediatrics on 15th December 2015.

On 17th November, 2015 ABB in Vietnam held a ceremony in its BacNinh Branch to award JDF Scholarship to Cao Van Son and Dang Van An, two students of Electrical School, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). Son and An were selected for JDF scholarship this year thanks to their efforts in education despite of the difficult financial situation of their families. Attending at the event was ABB Management and representatives and scholarship applicants from HUST.

12th October, ABB in Vietnam launched the Safety Week 2015 in Hanoi.

During Metalex exhibition held in Sai Gon Exhibition Center (SECC), district 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 8-10 October, 2015, ABB presented the World’s First Truly Collaborative Dual Armed Robot, YuMi®.

During 16-17 September, VNABB received Johan deVilliers, Managing Director of SGABB. After the launch of the Next Level early last year, SGABB is named the “lead” country to Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh which are named “oversight” countries.

In September, ABB participated in a major event organized by Electricity Vietnam (EVN), for Improvement on Capacity, Reliability and Availability of Coal-fired Power Plants in Vietnam.
