On 10 Oct 2014, ABB attended "Firefighting and Property Preservation 2014" Contest hosted by Fire Brigade Office of Hoang Mai on the occasion of the “Massive People Participating in Fire Prevention and Fighting” Day (4 Oct every year) with other 16 businesses operating in the district.

ABB Robotics participated in Metalex exhibition and showcased its products and services, during a three-day exhibition from 9th to 11th October at the Saigon Exhibition Center. It’s the fifth time ABB has joined Metalex and this time is the best one so far.

On Sunday September 7, 2014, ABB was invited as an honored industry leader to host a booth and a presentation session for the Technology Experience Day at RMIT. This event aims at unlocking high-school graduates’ passion for technology through exciting activities such as programming robots, developing an interactive game, exploring internal parts of a technology product and meeting industry representatives.

On its continued technical support program to universities, the Low Voltage Product (LP) Division handed over the low voltage control equipment to the Electrical – Electronic Engineering Faculty, Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City on 23rd July 2014.

During August and September RMIT undertook two Marketing and Research projects for ABB in Vietnam. The two projects were executed by the Commerce and Management faculties in RMIT in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

ABB in Vietnam is part of the ABB Group, a leader in power and automation technologies which operates in more than 100 countries and employs about 150,000 people. ABB set up a permanent establishment in Vietnam in 1993, although there were many references of ABB equipment delivered from before 1993. ABB in Vietnam has undergone 20 years of development with a number of significant milestones of the developing journey.

Ho Chi Minh City, May 14th 2014, at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, the opening ceremony of Pulp & Paper 2014 was held; this 3rd exhibition lasted for 3 days, from 14th to 16th May 2014. ABB Ltd. (with Process Automation Division (PA) as the representative) along with Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association took part in this event.
