The new release of FIM 3.4 includes support for commissioning of PROFINET devices with Station Name and network address, extended printing of online device parameters to PDF and improvements for OPC UA Pub/Sub with ABB Ability™ Edgenius. Additionally, this release also includes enhanced integration of Thorsis Communication Servers.

Field Information Manager v 3.3 (Product Update link) 🔒

The new release of FIM 3.3 includes enhanced integration of Communication Servers with improved certificate handling and higher level of cyber security, new EtherNet/IP communication server, support for latest PA-DIM version 1.1 and improved Common Names handling. This release also includes automatic synchronization of on-premises repositories, enhancements in OPC UA Pub/Sub and support for Windows Server 2025.

Field Information Manager v 3.2 (Product Update link) 🔒

The new release of Field Information Manager 3.2 includes device groups to group and organize devices, enhancements in interval configuration for device scanning and OPC UA updates, automatic check for updates in repositories and loop check extensions. This release also includes support for Windows 11 and 3rd party online repositories created by device vendors with the new FIM Repository Tool.

Field Information Manager v 3.1 (Product Update link) 🔒

The new release of  Field Information Manager 3.1, includes large system support with extended number of supported device tags, more flexibility in client/server deployment, additional field connectivity and strengthened Ethernet-APL support. This release also includes usability enhancements when working with device packages and trend views.

Field Information Manager v 3.0.1 (Release Notes link) 🔒

The new update, FIM 3.0.1, includes an updated version of the UMC USB Serial Communication Server for enhanced serial communication and compatibility. Additionally, the robustness of Field Information Manager has been improved with further corrections.

The new release, FIM 3.0, includes major feature additions with new client/server architecture, multi-user support, more field connectivity and strengthened Ethernet-APL support. Additionally, this release includes new OPC UA server extensions to support digitalization and asset management applications.


Field Information Manager v 2.5 (Product Update link) 🔒

Read more here about the release of Field Information Manager v2.5. The new FIM 2.5 release added new Extended User Message feature as additional meta data and new reminder feature. Loop Check is now available for Profibus PA devices. It also supports PA-DIM version 1.03.
