SWAPs creation tool
SWAPs is a maintenance program based on 4 inputs: environmental and operational conditions, age of the equipment, previous maintenance carried out, and presence of monitoring and diagnostic solutions.
With this tool you will be guided to provide such information, getting at the end the maintenance plan for your line-up.
The form is organized in three sections:
Each field has a question mark next to its name, which will explain you which input is required. If this is the first time you use this tool, please download the PDF guide you can find at this link*, to have it available in case of doubts.

Pollution degree | No pollution or non-conductive pollution occurs | Conductive pollution occurs or dry, non-conductive pollution occurs which is expected to become conductive due to condensation | Continuous conductivity occurs due to conductive dust, rain or other wet conditions |
Operational conditions
For the following fields, related to operational conditions, please fill in with the highest data among the different panels of the line-up (e.g. most loaded panel, oldest breaker, etc.). Only for frequency of operations, indicate the one with lowest frequency.
Present mechanical lifetime Number of operations performed in % of the declared total expected lifetime declared in the product manual (e.g. 10000 total mechanical operations / 1000 already performed operations = 10%)
Number of operations (%) |
Age of components (number of years) e.g in 2020, a breaker constructed in 2010: 10 years
Circuit Breaker | ||||
Switchgear | ||||
Protection Relay |
Current loading (%) Current load in % of nominal value (consider the most loaded panel)
Current |
Voltage loading
Voltage |
Short circuit current interruption
Max Isc | <=5 x In | 5...10 x In | >10 x In | |
Number of Isc | 0...2 | 3...10 | >11 |
Frequency of operation
At least one operation every 2 months | At least one operation every 6 months | More than 6 months of inactivity |
