Lutia, the newest LED lighting system from ABB, is a robust line, tested for performance in outdoor conditions. It features loop-in, loop-out wiring for easy installation and an adjustable light source that is suitable for ceiling or wall installations for either regular or emergency illumination.

With a dedicated IP65 compartment and a two-layer design to provide a thermal air buffer, Lutia luminaires can withstand low-pressure water jets and wide ambient temperature ranges: -20 degrees C to 40 degrees C for self-contained units and -40 degrees C to 40 degrees C for slave units. All screw holes are located outside the compartment to ensure its integrity in wet or dusty conditions, and the IK10 casing offers impact resistance up to 20 joules.

Lutia’s distinctive design includes vertical lines that act as gutters to channel rainwater and any residual dirt marks into controlled areas. With its discreet colors, the luminaire fits into various environments, and each unit has ample space for connecting wires.

“Lutia is an important addition to our extensive emergency lighting range,” said Amandine Senot, ABB Global Product Manager for Emergency Lighting. “It offers an easy way to extend emergency lighting to outdoor areas, with all of the tough conditions that come along with that challenge. In addition, it is discreetly designed to fit well with the exterior contours of most buildings.”
