ABB University USA now offers on-line training for ABB control systems.
Courses are available via a new on-line learning platform, designed by ABB training developers. Along with an easy to navigate course outline, with the syllabus, table of contents and course labs, the on-line training platform provides students the ability to add notes anywhere in the course material. Students can chat and share information with each other, see each other's progress through a course, and post questions to ABB facilitators using the included on-line forum. A virtual resources section provides access to any other courses in which the student has enrolled and a unique virtual machine for hands-on practice and completion of course labs.
This virtual machine, securely hosted on ABB's own cloud servers, is loaded with the appropriate ABB controller simulation and system application software necessary to complete the on-line course labs. This virtual machine is a safe way to practice knowledge learned from the on-line course without disruption to a working production system.
ABB University on-line courses can be accessed 24/7, whenever it is most convenient for your engineering, maintenance and operations team. Plus, once enrolled in any on-line course, the course material and all personal notes will remain available to the student for life.
Here’s what students are saying about ABB University on-line training, “This training is really nice. The virtual machine is really responsive even with our less than stellar internet connection… This is a really nice training option.”
